We are passionate about the craft of software and pour that energy into every project. With emphasis on real-time mobile web, ontology based information systems, and product development for the Internet of Things, we deliver practical and elegant solutions.

However, we are more than software developers—we are a team of innovators, strategists, and partners at every step. We help identify the best target markets, design a powerful brand identity, and ensure top-notch user experience while integrating with our partners’ internal teams during and after development to ensure a seamless product lifecycle.

For more than 20 years, Anderson Wiese and the 2wav professionals have been delivering diverse projects to clients across North America and internationally. We are based in Manitou Springs, Colorado, between Pike’s Peak and the city of Colorado Springs. Our team members live in Georgia, Illinois, California, and Ontario.

While there is no magic recipe, we’ve got a lot of experience with things that work—and things that don’t. We use this experience to help guide our customers’ decision making, crafting products that have the greatest chance of success.

Real-Time Mobile Web

We create user interfaces for real-time data applications used in financial services, home automation, and commercial equipment control. Since the Meteor framework emerged in 2012, it has become our favorite platform to develop real-time applications for web and mobile devices.

Ontology-Based Information Systems

2wav uses ontologies as a flexible vocabulary to describe the world. Our practical techniques, developed through long experience, enable us to build versatile and extensible architectures that adapt more readily to changing requirements over the life of a product.

When you start with a relational database (basically a spreadsheet), you need to anticipate all the rows and columns before the product is launched. Adding and integrating more fields later is cumbersome.

An ontology is not limited by rows and columns. New relationships between properties can be added on the fly. We employ a “reasoner” over the ontology that can infer useful relationships without having to spell everything out.

Our ability to “ontologize” makes our applications future ready, because no one can predict what is around the next corner.

Internet of Things

The 2wav team has been working on the Internet of Things since 2007. We have developed cloud-based device controllers, a proprietary scripting language, and an innovative IoT interface. Currently we are working on connected health devices to enhance independent living.

Brand Identity and User Experience

Software is much more than code. When working with 2wav, you get a design agency inside of your software company. We commonly provide brand identity, logos, style guides, and marketing materials for our clients.
