Some disasters can’t be avoided, but preparation can help businesses bounce back. In the era of COVID-19, many businesses are feeling the strain from closures, supply chain disruptions, and much more. It may even feel like fumbling in the dark trying to find a solid plan to keep a business afloat.
Sometimes we get down to where the code meets the hardware, and this project is a good example of our low level chops. This little app for iOS and Android, finds a Systech gateway with Bluetooth, and connects it to a WiFi network. Seems simple, but sorting out the idiosyncrasies of Bluetooth on iOS, Android and Linux was quite an undertaking. As always, user experience was foremost. Our goal was to make it so easy, even our moms could use it!
Of the many projects we have done for MarketMaker, the search tool is probably the greatest technical accomplishment. MarketMaker visitors can search geographically for hundreds of products from over a million businesses, filtered by hundreds of attributes. Precise area selections can be overlayed with census and demographic heatmaps, helping businesses to identify potential markets or find needed suppliers.
