Outdoor Illinois Journal is a collaborative effort led by the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center in Illinois. Other organizations include the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), Division of Wildlife Resources and Division of Natural Heritage, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration.

Hunt Illinois is an online resource for Illinois residents and visitors interested in hunting in the Land of Lincoln. The website includes information on Illinois hunting seasons, licenses and permits, regulations, safety, wildlife management, and conservation programs. Specialized tools like the Hunt Planner, License Finder, and Harvest Data Reports help hunters plan hunting opportunities.
