This major redesign and reorganization of the popular Wildlife Illinois website was released in March 2024. Designed by Gretchen Wieshuber and re-architected by Gretchen and our colleague Laura Kammin, this new version sports a lively new responsive design, reorganized site map and streamlined navigation.
Wildlife Illinois has a long history, originally conceived at University of Illinois Extension, then moved to the constellation of sites maintained by 2wav for the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center. In the peak seasons of spring and summer, Wildlife Illinois sees 20-30 thousand visitors a month.
